i would think so
if a chicken pecks another chicken the chicken being pecked will probably feel pain
but i dont think their nerves are as sensitive

Listen, there’s nothing wrong with dubbing. Does it hurt? Yes. But according to everything I’ve read, it’s like cutting your fingernail too far down. You just have to cut it quickly so the pain is not lasting.
Here’s one I dubbed a week or 2 ago. They also heal very quickly and it did not bother him at all, no noise or movement. He sat there peacefully and ate right after.

I also profusely apologise for not posting the story of Bug (the legless rooster). But! Our friends may be getting a 3D printer, so Bug may get new legs yet!
