she died withen three hours . She sunk to the bottom and acted lethargic, then died

Did she appear in good health when you purchased her? I'm assuming this is a female betta. Where did she come from?

She was... we got her from petsmart..thats prolly my mistake

Lots of peeps on BYC say that bringing chickens to the vet is a waste of money and they are not pets. Depends on the person.

Not a waste of money, that isnt't true, and mine are pets. More than pets, they’re my friends and they get me through difficult times. Saying it's a waste of money is saying their lives are a waste of money and that's not true at all.

It's possible that she was malnourished and just too far gone at the time of purchase. Usually Petco and Petsmart feed their bettas two-three times a week and do water changes on their cups once or twice a week.

What water conditioner did you use? And do you know if your tap water has chloramine in it?
