Me either. Icing it frosting, not a huge fan. I like it in moderation. I’ve been icing my cakes with stabilized coconut/normal whipped cream.My top dessert is homemade dark chocolate cake with dark chocolate icing and either dark chocolate or marshmallow filling.
Not too much icing though. I'm not a huge icing person.

A cream pie is what ever flavor you want, and that mixture is then usually mixed into whipped cream. For chocolate you make a ganache, strawberry you make a compote, etc. you can do lemon, coconut, banana, basically flavor. Then you put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours so it can set. That means thicken.
I haven't tried that, but it sounds pretty darn good.
