Been a long time since I've had one. Ya it was at least a hour.
I've heard they have open sided ones or something like that now. Mine was back in the day when they laid you down and shoved you into the machine.
Not so different then like at the morgue when they put you on a tray and shove you into the wall.
Not claustrophobic are you? That's the only thing they said could be an issue when I had mine.

Yeah, they want to make sure they top you off real good with the radiation

MRIs don’t actually use radiation (unlike CAT scans and X-Rays) they use a bunch of giant magnets that are clanky and loud.

Maybe it’s just cause I’m younger, but depending on the type of scan (because some machines have powerful magnets) you might be able to watch a movie or listen to some calming white noise while you’re scanned.

If there’s magnets tho it probably wouldn’t work.

They have these special headphones without metal (they also have to have a way to communicate with you during the MRI) so I can listen to music. I don’t know about a movie though.

They do, but just not the form or amount that will hurt you, supposedly. But, it didn't sound as cool by saying they were going to top you off with magnetism. Well, maybe it does, actually.
