Comets?

Yes I know, but Sex-Links are chickens which can be sexed at hatching. The offspring of a Golden Comet pair can not be sexed at hatch. The chicks will basically be "mutts". Hybrid chickens do not breed true.

Yes, I know but they will have the same coloring as their parents or close to it.

I had some sexlinks between a RIR and a barred rock, and you couldnt tell when they bred together what the chicks were. IDk about the red ones though..

If anything, the chicks from a Golden Comet X Golden Comet mating might turnout to be white tailed red like the hens, but they would NOT be sexable as dayold by color.

I agree with RAREROO.

You will get about 4 colors from this cross, some solid reds either sex, solid whites MorF, red with white mixed like the parents MorF, white with black barring or columbian patterned in neck and tail either sex.

They do not breed true as they are a half-breed 50%redx50%white.

That's right catdaddy. The white tailed red in the hens is because of dominant white, so when you breed her to the roo, some of the chick (both sexes) will look like the hen, some will have black replacing the white, and some of the other colors you mentioned.

I had some one time, the hens and roo where white tailed red like the Comet hens, when I crossed them, Some looked like the parents and some had the black replacing the white like I said earlier.

Lol. This turned into a random argument about sexlinks. U guys are funny. Good luck with your chickens, Katethegreat!
