Hi friends!
After about 10 years with no chickens we found a bear of a chicken coop fo 100 dollars if we could move it (no small feat!) and got about 6 of our largest friends to help us winch it onto a truck and haul it two miles to our little homestead. I'm thrilled because it sits off the ground, and while it needs scrubbing and some renovation for instance, to allow external opening of the nest boxes, it is double the size of my old house. (Over 8x8)
Now on to the question: Have any of you used electric goat fence for a chicken run? I would like a sizeable run and there is a slight slope to the area and that seemed like it might be a simple way to accommodate the slope. I would still build a frame to house shade cloth or overhead protection. What do you thing or suggest as an alternative?
