Can't help but be concerned about the fact that even with repeated advice to the OP to call the police, and not wander around in the woods trying to find this guy on their own, she and her husband continue to say that they have not yet called, and her husband says that he will 'be home' so there is nothing to worry about. I've seen similiar threads on the forums, where people post that they are frightened or worried, and yet over and over our members tell them to call the authorities and they just continue to post about the issue, but refuse to make those calls. I don't get it! What it is about asking the authorities to do their job? Is it that they are afraid to look foolish, or the hubby doesn't want to look like a wimp? Is it that they enjoy having this chaos in their lives, something dramatic to think about and talk about? Some of you may think that my post is harsh, but if you go back and read the entire thread, you will see that poster after poster says "Call the police and report this!" and the OP says "My husband or I will go out and look..." This might be nothing, but it could be a very dangerous situation. Saying "I'll keep my phone and gun 'handy' is not enough. I know from personal experience that the phone sometimes ends up being on the kitchen counter and I am in the bathroom or bedroom. Not right 'handy'. And the gun, same thing. Leaning against the wall while I carry some firewood, etc. Again, a good time for someone else to grab it or me. CALL THE POLICE!! Tell them what's been going on. And try to keep that phone and gun handy.
