well still no luck in finding my rooster... his hen misses him terribly.. she does nothing but paces the fence an cries out for him... I posted an ad on CL looking for him.. Im hoping something turns up either finding him safe or finding his body.. He had a Black Zip tie on his left leg so that is really the only marker on him I had to identify him if anyone found him...

oh, I'm so sorry! I hope you figure out what happened to him. My turkey likes to walk off into the back pasture if I'm not watching carefully enough. Anything could snatch her out there. You might want to search farther out. Still, I'm very sorry. The pictures of your pair are just beautiful.

Update :
I have not been able to find any part of the male BTWJ... I even posted on CL looking for him alive or even his remains (ID is a black ziptie on his left leg) and had no luck...
I got in touch with a lady that had cages for sale that I was looking for, she said she would trade for small bantams so I told her I would trade a Serama rooster and the Japanese female. well its been a week since she took them and they are doing sooo well! She absolutly loves the Serama rooster and she said the Japanese hen is such a sweetie! She sleeps in a nesting box with a White Silkie at night! She doesnt hide under waterers anymore trying to get away from bigger birds. I am so happy with the outcome even though I would have loved to send her male along with her.. she is quite happy now! an that is all that matters to me!
