Welcome to BYC!
:yesss:We are glad you joined our flock!

Can you post a few pictures of your birds...we can help you to determine if they are going to lay eggs or not.
Sorry for your loss, do you know what virus they caught?

The Vet seemed to think it was Marek’s disease.
Do you know if the vet has much experience with examining birds? Marek's is one of the best-known chicken diseases, and I think it would be unusual if several of your chickens were recently killed by it, given that you haven't added more to your flock recently and that you got them all from the same source.

What a beautiful mix of birds and all pullets that should start producing eggs any time soon. Not sure if you are aware or not but the poor feather quality on the lavender Orpington is a genetic trait common in lavender birds, so don't worry about those raggy feathers being due to parasites or pecking.
I'm so sorry that you lost so many to Marek's. It is a horrible disease and sadly may show up again from time to time. Keeping them as happy and stress free as you can is the best you can do. The surge of hormones at point of lay can be a trigger for it, so don't feel that you are doing anything wrong if it does resurface, but :fl these girls are resistant and will continue to flourish.
