We found what I thought was a young injured robin. Took it to our wildlife rescue center and found out it had avian pox. I have a flock of six hens that free roam in my backyard where the robin was found. What do I need to do to protect my hens? Four were bought from tractor supply as day old chicks and I’ve not ever vaccinated them. The other two were year old hens I bought from a lady reducing her flock. I do not believe they’d been vaccinated either. Ages of chickens now are a year and a half and the chicks are now seven months old now. All are laying hens. Desperately need advice as to what to do. Do I vaccinate them? Put something in the feed/water? Please advise!
