Their are much bigger problems, that is, say we have poison ivy in the back yard, even tho work is a hassle, you still have to deal with the small stuff, understand it and take care of your own back yard.
I have family in the military, yes its terrible that his life is in danger, but I still have to take care of my hens and house.

No okiemommy I wasnt referring to your post. I just read the whole thread and I just happen to have very strong opinions on this subject.

It is just so maddening to me what the media has done with this, for shock value. At some time in the future it MAY become a threat. But there are a LOT of different strains.

And I am not advocating burrying your head in the sand.

I heard the story on the news. I'm not worried. It is a strain of bird flu but not the H5N1 bird flu virus.

tiki244 I understand. I'm not happy with how the media reports a lot of things either. It would be great if they would just give both sides of an issue and let us decide where we stand on it.

i know it seems the media don't just report the news anymore they spin it , commentate on it and fuel controversy about it.

We often listen to the BBC news, they report on themselves and us. I feel we get more facts from them then we ever would from our own broadcasters. We as Americans want to hear all the fairy tale stuff instead of what really is happening on the corner by the assasins house. We love to follow OJ Simpson, Britteny Spears etc etc and that is not big news.
Ah, either way, g2g and get off my rant. But the opening statement was Asian Bird Flu. Then someone later on said it wasn't so is it, or aint it? we got off track- as well as myself. So what is happening in Arkansas? Have a good day!
