I have 3 distinct colors in this my first clutch of eggs from my muscovies. One color stands out as very different. The eggs are a mix from 2 ducks who laid in the same nest. One duck is chocolate and one is black pied(with white). the drake is black w white but told he is a chocolate carrier.

The clutch contains 3 different color patterns
Black body with varying white (now yellow) , has very black feet
Black body with white and random spots, has black and bright yellow feet
Brown body and white, has brown bill and brown feet
Here is a pic close up of the 3 side by side

Here's are the two duck parents that laid egg in this clutch of 10 babies. The drake below. Ignore other ducks in the pictures they were gone last winter. No other possible parents than the muscovies,
There were 3 brown babies but 1 died first night, two black spotted ducklings and the rest normal black babies.
.

I also have the chocolate sitting on 20 eggs that are all her eggs with the same drake father. Just wondering what might be in that clutch and is there any sex linked genetic to follow from a "Black drake chocolate carrier" X Chocolate Duck. I've found nothing on genetic charts about breeding carriers of chocolate Any thoughts

If you have a chocolate drake mated with a black female, you will get sex linked babies. The males that hatch will all be blacks and the chocolates will all be females.

Generally if you mate a black male with a chocolate female the offspring will all be black with the males being chocolate carriers. That must be your male and that would explain why you got a chocolate baby from them
