The one with a question mark has pointy saddle feathers..typical signs of cockeral..and it crows..id say it's a roo. Some roos mature slower than others. I have some cockerals hatched in may...they aren't even crowing yet while some in the same hatch are.View attachment 1121493 Chicken friends, have you ever had a hen that crows? We thought Chipmunk was a roo because he crowed, but it's an unusual crow, not at all like Penguin. But the mannerisms are more like a hen. He/she roosts everywhere and broods like the hens. This morning our Alpha Male roo did "the dance" around him/her. Here's the pics side by side. Also, no cockspur nob. What are your thoughts?
