Confused on all Flock Feed

I have a mixed flock, teenagers (8 weeks) laying hens and roosters. Have read that the calcium is not good for the teens or roosters and that I should use an All Flock feed and supplement calcium to the layers.

The feed stores around here don’t appear to have any All Flock feed.

I could feed starter/grower crumbles to all and supplement calcium. Is that a good idea, also what is the best way to supplement calcium only to the laying hens while keeping away from teens and roosters.

Thank you!
Yes...almost all starter/grower feeds are very similar to that same brand's name all flock feed.

WOW, that's a lot of good info! Why are D/P Poultry and Super Breeder listed as All Flock when their calcium is so high?

I came here with a similar question about what to feed when mixing younger birds in with older ones. Thanks to all of you I'll be switching to some kind of mixed flock feed with oyster shells.
I assume the manufacturer's website listed a variety of birds at the time I created the sheet. Not sure if they still do or not. I haven't updated the sheet in a few years. I will one day.

Because the labels are based on market research - which is a fancy way of saying "Ask a hundred (five hundred, a thousand, ...) ignorant shoppers what they think of when they hear [proposed label name]"

"Super Breeder" at least suggests its Layer Feed plus [something].

"D/P Poultry" just sounds confused.

At the time I made the Google sheet listed in that post I was reading the manufacturer's website and the labels of each individual bag.
It's possible I screwed up one or two It's also possible they changed their labels.

More likely the MFG named them poorly.

/edit I just checked the Mfg's website. You got it just right @Kiki . They also have an A/P Crumble. and the naming is "less than obvious".

Feed D/P POULTRY CRUMBLE MIX as the sole ration. Provide free choice grit and fresh, clean water at all times.

FARMERS BEST A/P POULTRY CRUMBLES is an all-purpose ration for starting chicks, growing pullets, laying hens, adult ducks and adult geese. Feed FARMERS BEST A/P POULTRY CRUMBLES along with free choice oyster shell to laying hens.

No I think you're missing my point but you are correct... The companies do name the feeds to trick people.

The way I have them listed on my Google sheet by type is based on what they the feed company was saying the food was good for.
If it said it was good for chicks and ducklings and chickens and ducks then I listed it as an all flock type feed.
If it specifically said feed only to laying birds that I listed it as a layer type feed.

I am pretty sure I did not rely on just the feed name because I was already aware that the name means absolutely nothing.
