OK, so I did read the back forums on grit, and have been sprinkling it around their area and in their coop. I just ordered them some Scratch and Peck food, and as it is mainly seeds and such, I'm worried that they wont get enough grit. How do I know they are eating it. Is it instinctive? These are my first set of birds, so I'm probably being paranoid. Is it better to put it in some kind of dish or mix a bit into their food, or is the sprinkle method fine. Any advise is welcome.

It is instinctual so if you are feeding them foods that they need grit to digest, they will eat it. I have sand and broken gravel in my coop but someimtes even add a bowl of grit when I give them large amounts of veggies. They are scavengers and eat little rocks and grit in their normal course so if you make it available, they will eat it.
