Confused rooster????

...I am not so sure you have a cream legbar either. It kinda just looks like a brown leghorn to me (but I am CERTAINLY no expert). If it IS a cream legbar, perhaps she HAS been laying? I mean, you have two birds with the potential to lay blue eggs.

Just been looking at brown leghorns and there the double!!!! Think u might be right???? But they didn't have that breed at the farm so god only knows!!! Legbar or leghorn is there anyway to check??? Can they be DNA like parrots??

sorry, I changed my post after I took a second look at her. Its possible that she is also laying, you just haven't caught her in the act so to speak.
Was thinking the same thing!! But he's lost weight too so were feeding him at the mo!!

If it is a pullet and she is indeed broody it's normal to lose a bit of weight. They go into a sort of semi-dehydration and semi-starvation mode. You don't want (if it's really not a he) her to sit too long like that because of the risk to her health. You'll have to "snap" her out of it.
