Thanks everyone! It's like he knew I was wondering - this morning he's started trying to crow. It's more of a honk - he sounds like if a goose tried to imitate a rooster
But it's definitely a crow!

At this age, a pullet wouldn't have such a large, red comb. He also does have a few pointy saddle feathers if you look closely.Thanks for the replies. I'm curious, what makes you sure? This is only my second roo - the first was an EE who had super obvious saddle feathers and a mess of a tail by 8 weeks, then crowed at 10. That's why I'm confused here, by 14 weeks I keep expecting at least saddle feathers, but I see nothing but round and fluffy ones.
