Connecticut Chicken Stock

Okay, DH and I have settled on a date for the chicken event. We've got a tiny bit of flexibility regarding the date, but not much. Turns out we're booked both the 1st and 2nd weekend of June now, and Sun is better than Sat. Time flies.

The date: Sunday, June 22, Moose Hill Farm, Oxford CT

Jen, you mentioned you had chicken graphics you thought might be good for a T-shirt? With date, location, and cute chicken picture, we've got all needed for a T-shirt. I know nada about how to get them made so help wanted. Love all your song and dance ideas.

Hi Becky,
The book I have has "old timey" chicken images that I think would look great on a shirt. Or like I said we could use a photo. I tried to figure out how to get the image in this post but it didn't work so I'll email it to you. I'll look into where to get them made.

This is great!!! We can't wait!!!

Keep me posted on anything that is needed!

DH reminded me of old time bluegrass tune called "Cluck Old Hen". Looked it up, and here are some lyrics:

My old hen's a good old hen
She lays eggs for the railroad men
Sometimes one, sometimes two
Sometimes enough for the whole darn crew

Cluck old hen, cluck and sing
Ain't laid an egg since way last spring.
Cluck old hen, cluck and squall
Ain't laid an egg since 'way last fall.

Versions vary, but several had the chicken cackling in the pot at the end! We especially like this tune because my husband is a railroad man who loves his eggs. I can imagine song updated as punky or funky.
