@Jimmythe chicken.. The bread is amazing! Very soft and flavorful. Just curious.. did you UP the amount of yeast? Most recipes call for 2 1/4 tsp so I was surprised that this one only called for 1 tsp. I did up it for my batch. It made a nice sized loaf that puffed up nicely above the pan in my bread machine without overflowing.

Hey, I haven't made that recipe yet but, all my grandma's bread recipes with 3 cups of flour always say to add 2 Tsp. of yeast

If I were doing the recipe I would have done as you and added more

I used 2 tsp, but didn't really measure the spoons out flat on top, so it was probably 2 1/4. (how's that for a convoluted answer?) I used my bread machine, but proofed the yeast in 1/2 cup warm water first, then added the other ingredients (lowering the amount of milk to account for the water). I always watch the first few minutes of the kneading cycle, too, and add flour if it looks too sticky. Let us know how yours turns out. I made a second loaf last night because the first was gone!

Hey, will we be having some of this bread on Oct 1st?
