So with it being summer time and fair time............ What's all you CT Chicken Peep's up to this weekend????

I'll be working but, hopefully some of you all will be getting out there and having some chicken fun for me

On our way to the 4H fair in a few minutes. Tomorrow afternoon I need to clean out and reconfigure the coop while my bossy girls are at the fair.​

 

[The reluctant chicken]

My DH, who was quite reluctant about getting the girls came home from work the other day and said.." you know, we aren't really using the shed up near the coop..why don't we convert the shed to a coop???"

I could not believe what he was saying! So, by October...they will have a new coop!!! I have chicken math numbers rolling around in my head

Also, my 9 year old GS wants to join 4H so I will have to buy him his own chicken...I think. I am in the process of learning about 4H and have written to the local poultry club leader. I'm waiting to hear back.

My weekend will be spent hinging the nesting boxes I installed yesterday, and making the last minute adjustments to the incubator. My Light Brahma eggs ship monday.

We went to see a presentation of "The Three Musketeers" on the Guilford Green tonight. It's a free event hosted be the shoreline arts alliance. I highly recommend it. Dragon gets very excited about these things, he went in costume as d'Ogtagnan. He had a great time and signed many autographs. The chickens, unfortunately, had to stay home.

little blue an i are trying to make some homemade milk an honey breed today wish us luck.anyone going to the chicken stock in mass next week? now we are off to the comunity center to workout while the kids go swimming.
