Connecticut!

im there, i have 3 coops going, could of had it down to 2 but cant keep a roo in the basement, my mo just cant sleep with anyone, he's too mean to them when it comes to going to bed, he's fine outside free ranging, but once it comes to going to bed he attacks everyone, he's not allowed in the coop with the silkies, cinderella(leghorn who thinks she's a silkie) keeps him right out, cant put him with the polishes which is what he is, he attacks them like a vulture, so he has to be by himself. that's the way it has to be till i find him a new home

Ya we are trying. I just want to make sure we have a backup plan.
I'd hate to open the coop in the morning and find the banties all bloodied up.

Ya i hear ya.
She does "ok" with them in the run.
There they can atleast get away better but when they are in close quarters she gets really mean and isn't afriad to hurt anyone.
I most worry about my defenseless polish and my little japanese. I was lucky enough my polish got along with all these other new chickens and another roo but it seems like i'm pushing it with the wyandotte.

yea im lucky there too, having such an accepting flock, my only issue is mo my polish rooster. my polishes i keep in a pen and their own coop, silkies and easter eggers free range when someone is home, even when i tried putting mo in the polish pen he went after them. so he's a loner

Wow thats so strange having such a dominant/aggressive polish o_o!
Mine is a complete push over and gets along with anything or anyone.
Hes very slow though...which is why hes a perfect target.
Our other roo, the alpha roo, is a blue silkie.

If i can't find my wyandotte a home, then i will just have to put in a little separate coop in the run, and if needed fence off alittle bit of the run.
But we are going to try again and see how it goes. I just can't take the risk of anyone getting seriously hurt..
I was planning on hatching out some more bantam polish under our silkie hen, but i'd be worried about them with "Silver" too.

yea my white silkie roo is the boss, him and cinderella are protective of their flock, even the new hens, mo and rudy use to get along, then he got hormones, mo is fine with people, just not the flock, no one likes him. he's beautiful, went in a show at a fair, the polish i rescued from my sister in law is submissive, except he tried humping one of my easter egger chicks so i had to take them out lol

Awww She's looking good!!! I can tell the size on her next to the other one. Boy she's gonna be bigger like her Momma! She has all American Bloodlines in her so that is why her tail looks different. The Blue I have in the show pic is english and she is much smaller frame with low plumage. But, both are very pretty english or american

Brutus was shown by BYC'r Little Blue in the Junior Division and won 1st place with the Brutus boy in their class and division. And, Little blue made me some of the best fudge and cookies ever!!!!!! Thanks Little blue

Thanks Everyone for a great time!!!!!!
Thanks All!!

That's okay, Beth. I know the hide-from-the-camera feeling well. You were sufficiently camouflaged with the hat and the hiding, so that someone who only met you one day, could not recognize you enough to pick you out of a line-up.

You have such pretty chickies; congrats on all your ribbons!
