Connecticut!

I give mine abunch of stuff but, they really like Applesauce, Hard boiled chopped eggs, Yogurt, red cell, and Flax seed. I mix it all up on paper plates and put a plate in each run/pen/coop. They all come running and gobble it down soooo fast! I buy big jugs of applesauce unsweetened on sale along with the yogurt unsweetened no flavor. Then I get the red cell from TSC in a big gallon, it lasts for ever. The flax seed I get per pound at the health food store.

On really cold days I give them whole oats cooked in 50/50 apple juice and water. Then I mix in some molassas. I let it cool and give it to them. Its a great warm treat that makes them naturally thirsty. This way the drink more to keep their motors ticking and warm

Happy new year everyone. For some reason I stopped getting post notices and I just thought everyone was being quiet. When I checked in it looked like I had missed about 100 posts! Of course you guys couldn't be quiet for a week!

Home Grown! Getting 1-3 eggs a day so far from my girls who were hatched Aug. 1st. Nothing yet from my D'Anver who is 5 weeks older! Go figure! I wonder if any are fertile??? Now I need an egg blower so I can make Christmas ornaments!!! lol. By the way, they are STILL all crammed in my brooder!

Nice eggs! My 5 are giving me about 3 egs a day now (hatched in May). I blew out about a dozen eggs-each girls first egg for our trees, then some more as gifts. I used a a syringe and my own lungs but next year will have to find an easier way -good luck with it yourself
