Well right now i have a young starter pair, they are about 4 months old there colors are silver pencled mix with red, they are adorible.
but the others chicks will be either red, white, black. those i ordered and i am keeping just a few to grow out and see how they turn out.

I have to figure out a way to get to your chicken stock this weekend! I want to go everytime but, I have no one to take the drive with me

Anyone else planning on head up to Shay's this weekend? I am trying to make arrangements and convince a neighbor to take the drive with me but, not sure if it will work. I would love to meet more CT Chickie peeps!!

Well I've finally got someone to take a ride with me to Shay's in MA. I wish some other CT'rs would go so we can all say Hi to each other

I am going up to look for some specific birds. Not sure if any of them will be there but, it's worth a shot plus she is having a chicken costume party!! Woohoo sounds like a good time!!!

I am also going up to sell some of my 9 wk old birds.

I'm having difficulty finding food grade diatomaceous earth in my area. Anyone know of any sources in CT? Preferably in southern fairfield or new haven counties, but I don't mind driving to other parts of the state. Just don't want to pay $30 for shipping from online sources if I can avoid it.

I found it at the Agway in Bethel. The bonus is that it's right near the Sycamore Drive In and they have great burgers and Shakes!

That funny cause when I asked at Agway in Bethel they looked at me like I was crazy. They had no idea what I was talking about. How much did you pay for the DE?
