Who is the nearest chicken vet to Beacon Falls/Waterbury??? Found my favorite chicken with an egg hanging out and stuff attached to it. HELP!!

I have ducks, so I don't know much about helping chickens. If she were a duck, I would get her into a tub of lukewarm water right away, up to the top of her legs.

I got the egg off and the uterus back in. Now the watch begins...

When Sechs had a prolapse, I kept her in the dark. She got broody, and I think that is best, since it temporarily shut down laying. So I would get your chicken into a darkened safe place. Maybe give her a few unfertilized eggs or wooden eggs, see if she'll contentedly sit for a while. I think Sech started to brood just because she was bored.
