Connecticut!

We brought ours to the middlefield auction. I never found out what they sold for as we didn't stay for the auction and donated any proceeds. We were assured everything sells.

Hello all, I live in Waterford/Quaker Hill area of Ct. Just got my first 8 chickens this year.....6 silver laced wyanndottes and 2 partridge plymouth rocks. built my coop this spring, hope to post some pictures of it. I looked at about 100 different designs on here and modified them all to suit my needs. this site has been great!

originally from Michigan, I grew up with grandparents having about 20 layers, and I always wanted to raise some myself....plus it's a great learning opportunity for my kids.

Hello and thanks for all the inspiration.

Hello and thanks for all the inspiration.

Welcome! I am looking forward to those pictures! I really like plymouth rocks.

I haven't seen one fox. but I know there are a few coywolfs around me, and a bobcat sighting about 2 miles from me. my hens are inside a coop with a run inside my chain link fenced yard. Only critter I've seen in my yard was a skunk.

nice to see so many people in CT have chickens!

Ugh! We're all sooooo hot! I have been putting ice frozen in cups in girls water and giving cold watermelon. no I'm not mad, I'm just melting.

Hello everyone
I have only 2 chickens
A rooster and a hen, my hen seems to be broody but I wonder if keeping her with only the rooster might cause some problems along the way. Can the rooster break the broody hen and will he harm the chicks or eggs???
