Connecticut!

If I go to the show, I think it'll be Saturday morning :)

BTW, I started incubating again last week, and 8 of 12 are looking good so far! Yay :) These are shipped splash ameraucana split to silkied (barbless feather gene). I'm also going to be incubating wheaten/blue wheaten ameraucanas, birchen marans, and also getting some blue barnevelders too! Gonna be a fun spring hatching many chicks!
Here's one of my eggs at day 6:

Aww.. Lil' bean :)

Is it okay for chickens to eat whole apples or should they be cored so they don't eat the seeds?

I've given the cores and skins to mine, and none of them have had problems - so far. I just read recently of someone's rooster choking on a pea, so I wonder. But apple seeds are smaller than peas, I think?

If anyone wants a heads up on whats coming to congress for sale pm me ill give you info
So far looks like ri red pullets, choc orps
Naked neck roolets, midget white turkeys,
Polish, silkies.
Who's bringing the Naked Necks?

I'm possibly interested in hatching out wheaten/blue wheaten eggs as well this spring. Did you get your eggs locally? Last Spring I purchased 10 wheaten ameraucana eggs through eBay to add to my other eggs...only one hatched. I had all of my own eggs hatch so I attributed it to the shipping. Of course I realize that there maybe be other factors as well. Unfortunately she became egg bound shortly after starting to lay eggs. Such a sweet bird and quickly became our favorite. I know my kids would just love to have more like her.

Anyway, if I could get fertile eggs locally I would prefer it.

Either way keep us updated with pics! :)

Pretty eggs in your pic! I got my wheaten/blue wheaten eggs from Lark Rise on BYC - I just picked them up from the post office! Yay :) so excited. Check out her profile. These wheaten/blue wheaten eggs are the most blue colored ameraucana eggs I've seen. I'll post pics when I unpack them tonight.

Can't wait to see pics!

Here are the eggs I received today (I had to use the flash because the lights in my house are kinda yellow, giving it a green-ish shade). I've never seen bluer ameraucana eggs! :)

The air-cells aren't in the best shape, but I've seen worse. I'm going to let them set until tomorrow night with the air-cell up, then start incubating tomorrow night. Yay! :) I'll post pics when they hatch.
