I have three wheaten/blue wheaten week-old chicks that I'm offering for sale if anyone is interested. $5 each. They'd be suitable for a backyard flock. They just have slight chipmunk markings on their down, but when they feather out they'll look like all the other other wheaten/blue wheaten chicks I have. PM me if interested.

Man, I would LOVE to add a blue layer to my flock, but I just don't have a place to grow chicks out anymore, nor will my wife put up with the dust. Are you going to be breeding them all spring?

I have a couple chicks left that I'm willing to sell. I can sell them when they are feathered out around 8-12 weeks if you're willing to wait and I haven't sold them yet. These are the first generation of my breeder flock, so I don't have any adult wheaten/blue wheaten birds yet.

I knpw it's hard to think about it but I'd get a necropsy done so you know what it was. Besides making sure that there is no risk of infection to the others, it's really educational for you. You may learn something that will save the next one.

I'd be willing to wait if you still had one (trying to resist the urge to make my flock too big for the coop), but don't hold it for me. I'm sure you won't have a problem finding someone to take them before then though.

I have 2 new little friends for my lonely little Ameraucana thanks to Jan12! My little Cashew, who seems huge compared to the new chicks, started calling to them the minute she heard them peep. She seemed so anxious to be next to them so I figured I would let her in with them for a few minutes to see if she would play nice. The chicks ran to her as ifCashew was their momma and she is treading carefully around them. Looks like she is enjoying her new company. I hope all remains well so they can stay together .
