Thanks Sam she is a beauty!! I love her and really do not want to sell her but, she refuses to use the chicken ramp to go in the hen house at night. I am sick and some nights its really hard to go out in the dark to fish her out of the bushes. Other than that I would keep her!

Why don't you build a little coop with another run, and put her in with a friend or two? Then you wouldn't have to go out at night, cause even if she doesn't go back in the coop, she's in a secure run!!!! Just an idea....

Hey Sam, this is an excellent idea however I am sick cannot physically do it and I need to give my husband a break. He just spent the last two weeks building be two new coops

Hey Shay,
The didn't think I was going to go but, if I don't off-load a few birds I have on Craigslist or Auction I may be taking the drive to see you all again!! I really enjoyed meeting you all and this time it sounds like a Birthday Party will be going on!! If for some reason I don't go I hope you and Jose have a great day and I hope he has a very happy birthday!!
Take Care,
Beth

PS If I do go does anybody else want to go too?

Hi Beth,

I might be interested in going. I have never been to a Chickenstock before so not sure what to do, bring, etc.? Sounds like a fun time though.

Hi Jenn,
My Husband keeps asking me to ask u if u have a neighbor named Mike? I don't want to post last names on here but he thinks u know him and his wife well. I guess this guy has a supped up golf cart???My husband works with him. As for the chicken stock you can bring brids, quail, pheasants, ducks, chicks, anything really to sell. As far a food you would have to ask Shay. So far I've sold 6 birds and I have 4 more left to sell. If they don't sell by the 30th I'll probably take a ride to Shays on the 31st. There are a lot of great ppl that go and you'll get to meet them. There are always a lot of birds/chickens for sale along with jewelry and pet supplies.
Let me know and we can set it all up!
Take Care, Beth

I do have him as a neighbor. I would have to say I don't know him well though. Anyway, I will have to think of what I might bring if I go. I always like to look at things for sale too!

Hi Jenn,

I will Let my Hubby know. He was driving me nutz asking me everyday did you ask her, did you ask her? I honestly forgot but, he was so proud of the quail he went to work telling everyone and that person said he thought that was his neighbor (meaning you were his neighbor) Is he the neighbor that is a pain in the _ _ _ with your cute little silkie clucking? I hope not, but if it is I won't say anything.

Anywhoo, Let me know about the chickenstock thing. I think I may have sold all my birds but, not 100% sure till they are all really gone

Hi Beth,

No he isn't the pain neighbor but he gets along with the pain neighbor so please don' t say anything. Your hubby must know a real good friend of ours also named Mike though, he is the safety engineer. We are friends with him and his family. We also know wild Mike with the dump truck. Funny how many Mikes there are there.

If your hubby is interested in more quail let me know. I will have chicks after November 1st.

Have a great weekend and I will talk to you soon.

What breed are these suppose to be? Do you use a bator to do all this hatching? If yes maybe we could hook up and I can share a hatch with you and give you the eggs to hatch or something?? Let me know, Thanks Beth

They are going to be jumbos as well. I do have manchurians and tuxedos coming, but need to wait to start hatching from them. I have 30 jumbo eggs in my bator right now, but also have some chicks coming. A friend lent me the bator and said I could keep it for as long as I wanted. But I already hinted to my husband that I would like my own and that it would make a great birthday gift for my 40th. I would really like a Brinsea EX model. I will be really hatching then...lol

I would love to share a hatch or hatch some eggs, just let me know.

Jenn
