I've hatched many Coturnix in my Brinsea Octagon 40. The hatch rates were incredible and the little buggers almost blew the bator apart. Quail are fun.

They are going to be jumbos as well. I do have manchurians and tuxedos coming, but need to wait to start hatching from them. I have 30 jumbo eggs in my bator right now, but also have some chicks coming. A friend lent me the bator and said I could keep it for as long as I wanted. But I already hinted to my husband that I would like my own and that it would make a great birthday gift for my 40th. I would really like a Brinsea EX model. I will be really hatching then...lol
I would love to share a hatch or hatch some eggs, just let me know.

Okie Dokie, So when will your bator be empty? And what breeds do you want to work on: Ameracaunas, Orps, Australorps, Mixed Breeds, or all that is listed?

It will be empty Nov 15th, so I will be itching to get more eggs in there.

So many choices...I would have to do all of the above.

Coturnix will almost never brood their own chicks so a bator or other breed broody hen is the only option.

I've had some 90% + hatch rate on shipped Coturnix eggs in a bator.​

Easier to maintain than most bators. During lockdown I'd fill the wells and put in paper towels for a little extra.
