I turned off my incubator just a minute ago. I had to admit what I knew was true two days ago. All my babies died in a temp spike on Tuesday. I'm so sad. Hubby isn't too thrilled, either, given the money I spent on those eggs. I will have to tell the girls in the morning.

That's hard to deal with but your girls will be better for it. Please don't give up the faith. We have all had bad hatches.​

I would love to do one myself but, I do not think my place is big enough nor do I think my, (not so nice front neighbor) would go for it. Too much activity at my house and he is always calling the policy dept! It really stinks I tell ya.

The sad part is its not so much the distance as itS the cost of gas to go the distance but, if you feel like burnin up a tank of gas feel free to give me a ride. Hahahaha

I still have the Bantie Wyadotte for sale and I'll throw in a free bantie cochin rooster and explain how to get some real neat colors. I'll have them if not sold off auction till May 15th. That is when I'm going to Shays Chicken Fieasta swap.

Beth, I'm very interested in your Wyandotte. I need to raid the piggy banks and ask my eldest if that would be ok with her. My other daughter has her heart set on a Mille Fleur since her name is Millie. Shes not old enough for 4-H until the Fall, which buys me a little time to get a second banty for her, although I would rather introduce two to the flock at once. I appreciate the offer of the Roo, but I can't have Roos here (and personally, I'm not fond of feather-legs).

Tell me more about this Fiesta Swap?? Maybe someone will have a Mille D'Anvers...​

One of my 4-H leaders just got a few millies (d'uccles) and will be breeding them..... I'll let you know if she hatches any, Tina!!!!! Sorry to hear about the eggs though..... I guess it's just part of hatching!​
