Daphne16 kindly told me about this thread and mentioned I might find what I need here. I just had an order get pushed back another two months, which probably is not going to work due to our vacation. SO bummed about it.

: I was getting 2 BO's, 1 EE and a Light Brahma, I also wanted a Silkie or two but they didn't have any. Anyway, I was wondering if there was any one who could point me in the direction of where to get some chicks so we don't have to wait so long? I called all of the TSC's in CT and some in Mass but they don't really have anything I want (plus they have the 6 chick minimum and I really only want 4, maybe 5). I am looking for friendly, calm breeds. I am also hoping to get them sexed (I can only have hens).

Anyone out there that can point me in the right direction?

my dad said last year it was 100$ but they did raise it this year .he said they meet tuesday an he will get me all the info he said you need to hold insurance on it 2 that is like 80$ so total prob around 200-250.if you guys are interested.we should start getting a head count they have alot of outdoor space an a hall area they also have a full kichten too.

I really want to do this so let see how many people we can get!!! Maybe Jimmy after you get the final amount of space rental and insurance, we can start a thread to try and get a few sponsors and ppl to commit and help pay for spots?

that sounds good i work for a food service wharehouse so i can get burgers an hotdogs water real cheap too i will post up weds when i know if anyone wants to see how far it would be you can gps dunkin donuts in coventry ct it is about 2 miles from there.this could be an every year thing if it works out.

Connecticut needs its own Chicken Stock!! If we can all talk about pitching in to organize, market, get a sign up form, set up crew, and see who's in this really could work!!

So, who's in if we can get this spot at a reasonable price??

Heck I could even do a butcher demo for all if you wanted or if not I understand too.
