Connecticut!

I went to the one in Putnam. It is smaller in size but had what we needed. I've also been to the one in Salem. Big and had a wide selection.

Hi CT Peeps

Beautiful weather we've been having! Just wanted to pop into this conversation and recommend Urban Miners in Hamden ... they have many choices for old doors/windows/etc cool coop materials www.urbanminers.com/ is their website. Good luck!

Ok I am sorry if this is a invite only event. But is there a met or something on the 22nd? I would love to meet some of you and learn some tips as I am a total newbie to keeping chickens. So that prety much means i am acting like I have OCD with everything with them.

On a different note I should be done with my coop by next weekend can I move my brooder into the cope until they are ready for the coop full time? they are on my sun porch and the wife gave me week to get them out of there. Right now they are 2 weeks old and when I move the brooder over they will be 3 weeks old.

Hello BYC CT'rs that are not on Facebook with us. Above is a link to a show that will be held in CT!!!!

Mark you calenders for April 11th (entry deadline) and April 22nd (show day) 8am to 2pm. Would love to see as many CT Chickie peeps as possible to make it a great new little show!!!

Here's the gathering I was talking about for the 22nd, Mike.

Beth, is the CT group much more active on Facebook? Am I missing chicken awesomeness?

I think everyone should take a trip to Tolland and create a parade of chickens in my backyard as I work. Fluffy chickens butts. Sigh. Cuteness.

My sister is getting her first ones today and I'm more than a little green with envy. Especially since she's too far a drive to go see them!

Afternoon all

so I started my coop today I got the idea from another member it is 4X6 with 23" above ground. I should have the rest finished by the middle of next week.

Ridgefield did have a coop tour last year, we were on it. I don't know why they didn't do it this year. We had a fair amount of people. We'll do our own mini tour with the 3 of us. I can also take you all over to Garden of Ideas coop too. It's much larger than mine.
And that is what started me on my journey to being a chicken owner, the tour of your set up. My chicks are hatching on Monday April 23, and I hope to have them by Wednesday 25th. I ordered them from Mypetchicken.com .
I have waited for so long to get them and now the time is so close. The coop and run are done, the brooder is ready and waiting, and I finally got my Ecoglow20 after waiting 5 weeks ( they were on back order).
I am still trying to get the pictures of the coop on here, since they changed the way it is done, I am having problems. Perhaps I can get my husband to figure it out.

Lisa
