Atero nearly swelled with pride. Soon my little breadloaf of a sister will be gone as well, he thought. "Anything else, mistress?"

"No. You are dismissed." Mel gave him a short nod. She gave a small smile, which was very rare for her.

Aithne's frown became a scowl. She hated Mel, and for good reason. Looking up, she stared at the other phoenix in the clearing. She was one of the most beautiful phoenixs' she had ever seen. Her mood lightened considerably.
