Kismet took a deep, uneasy breath. "I don't know, Reynardia." Worry could be seen deep in the old unicorn's eyes. "What we've seen of her is only the tip of the iceberg. If we aren't prepared, she could very well take over Consenia without mercy."

Incendia preened herself nervously, "We don't know how strong Mel is--or how many she commands."

Crystal was surprised by Dapple and took a small leap backwards, then lowered her head and looked up at him. "I'm Crystal." she said quietly, trying to be outgoing.

Dapple glanced at the beautiful white pegasus he had landed by. Phokas would not have approved. "Hi," he said.

Aithne almost snorted. Almost. She knew definitely that Mel was the strongest shifter anybody has ever seen.

"I'm Dapple," Dapple replied, "Uh...Phokas isn't around here, is he?"

Crystal walked a little closer, relaxing slightly. 'I don't think so.' she replied.

Aithne jumped when she realized that the tree was starting to smoke. Trying to flap her wings silently, she blew air on it to snuff it out although she knew it was a lost cause.

Dapple picked up a dandelion and offered it to her.

"That is one of her many hidden dangers." Kismet replied worriedly. "She is deadly, and if she is commanding an army... this may the greatest war Consenia has ever seen before."

(Hey, I just go an idea. How about there was a council member who challenged Mel, and was killed by her? It might be an interesting twist.)
