OH Danz, I'm just so sorry for you. What a completely rotten day. I'm so glad you got to spend time with her before hand and you were a great mama to her, she knew she was loved. You have my sympathy and I understand how they are family.David I'm sorry about your chickens.
I have had a really awful day. I lost my sweet Tyggy today. It is hard to explain how you can love a cat that much, cause she was so different and special. I've had her since she was a couple weeks old and her mother got killed. I hand fed her cause she was too young to eat. I was her Mom and we shared a very special bond. I feel so broken.
X2! Hope to see you back this coming Spring, David! A lot of us will be hatching out chicks!Don't be a stranger here. I hope you get started back up in the spring.
Sharol

Medawinks, sounds pretty suspicious if your silkie is growling at you!! She might be broody! They can really let you know they are unhappy. Watch her tomorrow and if she spends a lot of time sitting down and finding a corner all to herself, then I'm guessing that's her deal. Sometimes they will just favor a dark corner instead of a nest box. At least mine will, crazy birds. But if she's walking around-- then she's not broody.
