Consolidated Kansas

I have friends and acquaintances down your way. My brother lived at Baxter Springs for awhile. My other friends live in Cherokee county if you are near there.

Looks like our forecast is going back down hill. Rain tonight snow tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. The highs for next week all seem to be in the 30s. It sure seems like this is January, not the end of November.

I'm just worried about my parents. Every winter they just get depressed because all of their hobbies they can only do when it's warm. Dad's hobby is building, deer hunting (I know this is in winter but he only can do it when he's off from work, which is super rare.) and tinkering. Mom's hobby is gardening. They just get so depressed and I always try to cheer them up but this year it's so bad that no matter how many silly things or jokes I make/do they just don't seem to cheer up. Does anyone have winter depression? If so what would you want your kids to do in order to cheer you up? I'm at a loss and I don't want them just to mope about. I'm just worried about them.

I do get depressed really bad in the winter and what I do is I look into what I can do in my hobbies even those its winter you could help them set up a plant area in their home where your dad can build shelves and stuff for it and your mom can plant.
