Consolidated Kansas

That's great advice, Dani. I normally start seedlings in my basement in January to help the blahs. Of course I have to work outside regardless of the weather. A couple things I do is 1. Open the drapes so I get more natural light. 2. Replace all my lightbulbs with daylight 5000k to 6500k LED bulbs.

Hi wondering if anyone in the North East part of Kansas near Topeka, Manhattan, or Lawrence area have Muscovy ducks? I need to add 2-3 females to my flock. Craiglist hasn't been much success and the nice lady I bought them from won't have anymore until spring.

I have a few but not for sale. I do know someone who has lots of them and would sell some, probably not babies at this time of year but younger ones maybe. She lives near Emporia. Send me a pm and I will forward her contact info if you are seriously interested

Yes he is good with chickens. There is a guy I know that is supposed to come get him this weekend. If that doesn't happen I will let you know and you can have him.

Speaking of ducks, most of you know mine just free range. I have lost two ducks (not drakes of course this week to owl attacks. I guess they are getting hungry this time of year and ducks are such easy picking. The owls probably also know I don't want to get out after dark in the cold to round them up!!!:old
