Consolidated Kansas

Hello! I'm a new member here....I'm in Eudora, KS. We got our first chicks just before Easter. I'm hooked. Already seems we need more space

I'm glad to see a Kansas connection here. I've been reading the forums for weeks and just love it! There are some very knowledgeable people here.

Thank you for the additional forum. I didn't think there would be so many people in KS here.

OzawkieBantams - I'm not far from Eudora Baptist Church. We love it here. Only been here a couple of years.

Should have asked you about the bantams I have. I'm told on the breed/gender listing I have 3 bantam roo wannabees

I only picked out 3

Guess I'm not meant to have them. I have 10 regular size chickens. Looks like one roo in that bunch. I'm hoping only 1

Looks like I'll be giving up the bantams.

You are aware of E- towns rules right ? no poultry in city limits... Although most wont say any thing if you share eggs and if they do tell me their names I will have them arrested ,,,,,lol

Do you have a picture? I really need to set up something different.

This is the hole I put the bucket into.

Here is the bottom of the bucket

When I move the pen I put the bucket into a empty bucket

View of the bucket in the hole. I can easily adjust height with spacer.

This is what I used for the winter, you can see the cord coming out of the hole. I have a cap that covers the hole, the hole allows easy access for filling.

Sorry to hear of your plight of having to find new homes for your poultry.

Try your local feed store for contacts that will take your roos - I tried Orschelens - there are MANY poultry owner employees that will help you out..I'll bet TSC (or any), will know of someone to help you .

Good luck !

Pat
