I will have to see if i can make it. I think that would be nice to go check it out. i went to a few back in michigan for the michigan bird and game breeders association. You always met some interesteing people and get some good deals. My only concern is that my knowledge of my chicken breeds and standards is all that good. Now rabbits i can tell you all about genes and the different breeds but chickens....still learning there. id still like to make it out. I'd like to get adults if it at all possible. My son would like Narragansett Turkeys and bourbon reds. katy if you have a group of adult i would be REALLY interested. if you dont have them know could you keep me in mind please.

I have been to the Topeka at Premier Farm & Home swap before. There has always been a lots of vendors with poultry and rabbits, I have seen goats there also. I have not seen many turkeys at swap meets, none of them were Narragansett. I should have some Narragansett eggs and chicks next spring.

For any Indy people who've been stymied trying to get their $2 permit from the city clerk, Tammy's figured it out. I gave my DH her directions of where to go and who to talk to and we're now 100% legal! He said it was no problem. TY! Tammy!!!

There is a poultry swap in Joplin, Mo August 7th, coming up 1 week from Saturday.
It is the first Saturday of the month each month.
It is held at the Turkey Creek Feed Store 2 miles East of Rangeline on 20th Street.
Starts about 7:00 am and goes as long as you want to stay usually dies out by noon.
No set-up fee.

I'm trying to help a friend find a playmate for her lone duckling that hatched out as a suprise last week. She lives South of Overland Park and doesn't want to drive terribly far if possible. She likes the Welsh Harlequins, but is open to other breeds. Thanks!
