Well now I'm out in unhappy camp. The guy that was supposed to show at 2:00 hasn't shown or called. Grrr! Why do people call me saying they want something and then not show up or call or anything. I sat here for hours waiting for the phone to ring.
So then I go out to feed in the cold and the mud, and I can only find one of the Welsummer hens I was going to sell this afternoon. There went some money down the tubes. The other one has probably got a secret nest somewhere and I'll see her in a couple weeks. So I discovered 5 hens sitting up above the ceiling in the garage. I can barely climb up there. I don't know how they think they get chicks out of there. It's at least 10 feet off the ground.
And then I have 4 faverolles sharing a nest behind their little house inside the garage. I guess I'll just let them sit and heaven knows what will hatch. If I should happen to get an area ready to separate them before they hatch chicks I'll just throw the eggs in the bator. Maybe I'll get some pure bred ones out of the mess.
Then the gal that was going to be here at 4:30 changed her plans and is showing up at 5:30. I guess that is ok but about that time of day all my meds wear out and so do I.
Ivy have you heard any more on your surgery?

Ritter: I'm sorry that they are giving you such a hard time. How is it that they have say in what you do in the part that you are renting?

Ivy - Yay on your DS getting into KU Med!!! And double yay on the scholarship for your step son! Very exciting! My daughter had to drop out of school when she got pregnant, but she's still planning on going back in the fall. She's going into mechanical engineering as well - but wants to focus on deisel engine repair. yep. I said that right. She loves fixing cars.

Danz - your duck is adorable!!!!! I'm so considering a duck in the near future. My husband and I have even talking about coverting the koi pond into a duck pond. lol

I called the company i ordered our chicks from and asked a couple questions. First, I asked if i just ordered 4 would they send packing peanuts and no.. I'm glad! Secondly I asked what hatchery they were coming from and it's cackle, so that's a nice close place for shipping. They say i'll get them in 2 to 3 days from shipping, so i'm assuming it's only going to be 2 if it's that close!
