checoukan- Thank you. I trust your guesses. I think the blue chick is blue modern game. Do you really think the 2nd one is japanese? If so I have quiet a few of them. And the old english chick I have alot of those. I will take more pics. Please tune back in later and take a look..

Lizzy, I wish I knew the answers to you questions but I’m not up on ducks and geese. She sure it pretty though.

Danz, I don’t know what exactly it is. I think it’s just cages but if we add some lights it could be a brooder. The family I was expecting today already came by and got some chickens. They took 10 roosters including my beloved Daniel. Now I need another rooster. I can’t keep up with them, they want to come back next week and I had to tell them I won’t have any for them that quickly. I’m glad that you got some sleep last night, you really need that so you can tackle the next day. Don’t feel badly about taking meds when you need to.

Wichita Kidd, I noticed that your funny names changed the tone on here. It is nice to have some light hearted stuff again.

I'm in the market for a new rooster, preferably a cheap one, can be mixed and must be nice.

Also, I'm about to order chicks. What's your favorite hatchery?

I may have a roo for you. Text me.
I love Ideal poultry for ordering birds. How are the eggs coming along that I gave you?

Mammahen I have a perfect rooster for you. He is half Salmon Faverolle and half silver duck winged Pheonix. He is gorgeous but I can't use him. He needs tamed down cause he was broody raised but he watches over a couple of hens that were hatched with him that I have sold if the guy ever picks them up. I would more than gladly donate him. I could have sold him as a meat bird but he is just too pretty to butcher even though he is a mixed bird. I can see later if I can get out and take pictures of him. If your DH is going to Emporia soon you could have him. One more not to have to deal with in the grand scheme of things.
I know what you mean about lightening things up here. It's been a bit too business like lately instead of just fun. I for one am guilty of that. I'm under a tremendous lot of pressure right now and I get on here now and then to just take a break to keep my cool. Unfortunately I haven't been a lot of fun. Sorry people. It's hard to admit but I have many faults!!!

I think so many people are sick and they get a little more serious than normal too. I love you all to pieces and sorry I have been a bit over sensitive lately.
I need a vacation from my life for awhile.
Thanks to my crappy health about once or twice a year I have a surgery and I get to take a break for a few days. It's been a year since I've had one. So it's about time for something to break! Otherwise I have no excuse to take it easy.

No he didn't give me a warning. He let me go. The reason I didn't get a ticket was that I had the insurance number and expiration date on my car registration and the last card before I renewed the insurance in December. Not to argue but according to KS30-3104 if you don't have proof of insurance or proof of self insurance (which is a major financial certified form that guarantees you have ample funds to pay for anything and a certified guarantee that you will), a law enforcement officer is ordered to issue a citation. If you come to court and show proof that insurance was in force at that time, or the law enforcement agency sends off a form to the state and verifies the insurance was in force and finds it was, the ticket will be dismissed. However you are still liable for court costs which can be up a couple hundred dollars dependent on the fees set for that jurisdiction.
I'm not trying to argue but I was in law enforcement for over 13 years and I still have contact with current officers/ highway patrol here in Kansas. The law is pretty clear on this. If you or someone you know has gotten by with this, you were quite lucky and it was actually outside the way the law is written. I'm not trying to be a smart a... I am still a certified police officer in Kansas and in Oklahoma. That doesn't go away once you have attended, graduated the schools, and served as a law officer. I don't have to remain employed in that occupation to maintain this title. I try to keep up with current statutes. It's just one of those things that stick in your blood.
I've actually never even had a traffic ticket but years ago I was stopped in Wichita because a tail light was out (I really hadn't known). The cop asked only for my license and when I asked if he also needed to see my registration and insurance he said, no, he could look it up in the system. With my license, he has my name and from the license plate, he was able to look up that the car is registered to someone with the same name as my license and that the car is current on both registration and insurance. It was a surprise to me because I always thought I would have to show both. Several years later I was driving in Nebraska and came to a check point where they were pulling every driver over. I don't know if they were looking for someone in particular or just doing random checks on cars. This time they did need to see all my paperwork and although I had my current insurance card, it turned out the registration I had in my glove compartment was not the most current. When I renewed my registration I had mistakenly, filed the paperwork instead of putting it in the glove compartment. The cop there suggested I carry the current registration saying that while they can look up cars registered in Nebraska, they don't have access to look up out of state cars. However I guess she figured if I had a current insurance card, my registration is likely to also be current so she let me drive on after the verbal warning to update it when I got home.

Absolutely - I will get out this week and get some photos of her. She didn't molt this year yet but did turn into a little fluff ball with her winter feathering and looks really beautiful at the moment.

Danz~I have always liked they pens you built, you do a good job. You should not be ashamed of anything you have done!! Its working!!
The lavs, I will have to ask Ivy, I don't know. I have two of her lavender males, but no females, but i do have some black hens, so once I get things penned up, I will have some splits. I have so lav eggs coming sometime, but well you know how shipped eggs go. My feed system, right now I am using baby pig feeders, the galvanized feeders for my large fowl, and some of the bantams are on feed cups, the adult rose comb are on galvanized feeders like rabbit feeders, but they have solid bottoms so the feed does not fall thru like it would with regular rabbit feeders. They have a little lid that comes back over the feeder top so dirt and dust does not get in on top of the feed. Flip the lid up, fill the feeder, flip the lid down, move to the next pen. Everybody is on auto waterers, but chicks, and young stock. Usually my auto waterers work 95% of the time during the winter. When it does get below freezing here, I just use plastic cups and go on. As soon as the auto waterers thaw, back on them they go, and out come the cups.

maidenwolf~ I think it is a jap, but they are babies, could not see the legs, so hard to tell, but, I think that is what it is. I'm not sure about the blue one yet. I a little hesitant on calling it a modern game yet.

My ducks are thinking its spring, lot of tail wagging going on with the muscovies, and the ruens, well they would not even come in to their feed this morning, so I guess they must be twitter-baited.

Maidenwolf, I'm gonna go find my phone now. Your eggs are doing well, I candled last night and I only had 1 that I was questioning if it was okay but I left it in there. I didn't tell you that my dh surprised me with a real egg turner last week. It's weird not having to go turn them all the time. I hope they do better this way.

I cup flour, l cup sugar, 1 cup milk, Mush the bag~~~~ Brisket in crock pot, meat loaf in oven, along with scalloped potatoes, and vegtable medley mix. Amish bread in 4 days, Hmmm think it will work to get my DH to let the builder finish the work room in my new barn? Evil arn't I!!
