Danz~I have always liked they pens you built, you do a good job. You should not be ashamed of anything you have done!! Its working!!
The lavs, I will have to ask Ivy, I don't know. I have two of her lavender males, but no females, but i do have some black hens, so once I get things penned up, I will have some splits. I have so lav eggs coming sometime, but well you know how shipped eggs go. My feed system, right now I am using baby pig feeders, the galvanized feeders for my large fowl, and some of the bantams are on feed cups, the adult rose comb are on galvanized feeders like rabbit feeders, but they have solid bottoms so the feed does not fall thru like it would with regular rabbit feeders. They have a little lid that comes back over the feeder top so dirt and dust does not get in on top of the feed. Flip the lid up, fill the feeder, flip the lid down, move to the next pen. Everybody is on auto waterers, but chicks, and young stock. Usually my auto waterers work 95% of the time during the winter. When it does get below freezing here, I just use plastic cups and go on. As soon as the auto waterers thaw, back on them they go, and out come the cups.
maidenwolf~ I think it is a jap, but they are babies, could not see the legs, so hard to tell, but, I think that is what it is. I'm not sure about the blue one yet. I a little hesitant on calling it a modern game yet.
My ducks are thinking its spring, lot of tail wagging going on with the muscovies, and the ruens, well they would not even come in to their feed this morning, so I guess they must be twitter-baited.
