I lost the bird this morning. It was still alive when I poked my head in the room but as I was preparing my kid's lunch box, I heard some flapping sound from the room. I ran in there and saw him having a seizure and then he was gone. I'm heart broken to say the least. I may have to see if someone will have a RIR for sale in the Fall. It is just too darn hot now and all the birds are just suffering.
I'm definitely planting more trees in their yard this Fall just so to provide some much needed shades. Their yard is just too big to put anything up for shades so planting trees is the only solution and it is not a fast solution either since it takes a while for the trees to grow.
Argh...
It is just not a good start to my Friday. To top it off, my husband has been sick. He was dizzy and been laying in bed all day yesterday.
Lizzy - It will scare the bejibee out of me if I see the rattles so close to me. I just can't do snakes.
Trish44 - So sorry you keep losing the guineas. The ticks and bugs in my area are bad. I may have to get a few in the Fall or Spring to keep them critters down.
Rooster - Losing birds is just the pits. Hope you can find a solution to keep the hounds away.
Stay cool everyone!
