Trish44, I have never posted on one of these sites. Even though I have used them several times for information. But I saw that you raise cream legbar chickens. I have been looking for some. If you have any for sale I am very interested. I just recently got a pair of lavendar orpingtons and I love them. I see you are in Winfield. I am just up the road in Rose Hill. Today was chilly & dreary, I didn't really want to do anything today. It's days like that you just feel like crawling between the covers & staying there. I sure was enjoying those warmer days.

It was dreary and drippy here too. Fit my mood too well and made me even more blue than I already was. A close family friend passed away from ALS and pneumonia yesterday morning. He was a wonderful kind and caring individual and will be missed. One of the few peopl in our community that didn't make me feel a little funny/bad for being so animal crazy. Even Monday when he was fighting to speak and was so incredibly sick in ICU he still asked me what I'd been doing and how my animals were. He was such a sweet person that I just had to share. Hope you all don't mind....

So sorry for your loss. Sounds like he was a lovely man.

Not chicken related and I won't go into a bunch of details. It's just that BYH doesn't have a state specific thread. Does anyone know of any mini Nubian goats in KS/MO area? I would like to find a doe that's already bred. You can PM me in order to prevent a spread of goat posts with the chickens. TIA!
