Consolidated Kansas

I've had really good luck shipping chicks, turkey, and goslings this year. Much better than before. I guess I've finally gotten the hang of it. The clue is to always use a heat pack and to add a whole bunch of food. It cost a lot more but it's worth it. I spend an insane amount on shipping supplies. Just spent another $70 for a few more boxes to make it through the goose season, another $80 for more heat packs, and another $30 for mor grogel. And I had stocked up on all of those earlier this year.

Well, I pretty sure we have lost my daughter’s little Mille Fleur chick. Storm coming through and it’s nowhere to be seen. Will check in the morning, but she is heartbroken

I used to raise d'uccles. They were cute but I just don't like small chickens much. I'll let you know if I hear of anyone who has any. I lost two young birds in the storm last night that I had just moved out of the brooder house. Of course it was two of the nicer breeds.
