Been working on the ark. I've got BBS Silkies and BBS Ameraucanas covered, but I'll need some help making up other pairs. Bring all the wood and nails you can spare and we'll try and get all the breeds and varieties onboard. If you've got any buckets or pumps to spare, bring those too.

Saturday was rained out, Sunday was rained out. Fireworks and parties have all been rescheduled for next weekend.

I can't even bring myself to look at Friday's forecast.

According to the last check, we're already 5.44 ft above flood stage.

The forecast for here says friday will be mostly sunny. First day with NO rain in the forecast. Yea!!!

My yard died. The areas under the trees where the grass was shaded is okay, but the spots where the sun boiled the grass with water standing? Brown. Dead.

I can't tell you how happy I am that it looks like my backyard was attacked with Round Up.

Ah well, at least most of the fair this weekend should be clear. Humid, steamy and muddy

, but I shouldn't have to worry about my basement flooding.

I told averytds that i would post this when i got it. It seems like everything happens on the tenth but if you don't go to the HOAGBA swap then the next cherokee county poultry swap will be this Saturday, July 10th starting at 7 a.m. at the fairgrounds. Please come to buy or sell - this is our club’s fundraiser. (Vendors pay a $5 fee). The rodeo is also starts later that night.
