well we have a new baby bantam chick that I named Kingsford-Daren thought all the eggs under the broody were bad since they started to explode, so he threw them in the burn barrel and one of them started to chirp-whoops, well I convinced him to reach into the barrel that he had just started to get going and grab the little egg that was chirping out. I carefully washed off the egg and put it in the bator and it finished hatching this morning-so far so good

Okay- here are pictures of what I got done this morning! The front side is the window on top and the clean-out door below. The clean out door is nearly 3 feet high and 4 feet wide.

This picture shows the extra studs or braces (whatever) I added to the bottom of the nest box so I can lay plywood down in there for the floor. Seriously, this box is so darned sturdy I think you could hang off of it- it doesn't move an inch.

Okay, I think it's getting close to time to name this coop.

It looks sturdier than the stage at the Indiana state fair, that's for sure. What a tragedy there!
