Hey, here's my new arrivals... 3 black copper marans that hatched under a broody. There are 3 eggs still under her that have started to hatch, but one may have died in the shell. I left the eggs under her. Maybe she can work some magic and get them hatched. All 3 are feather legged and come from pretty dark eggs.
A little closer look.
2 getting a drink. The third one is still in my hand. They took to water so well you would have thought they were ducks. After I finished taking pics, I went back and looked at them again. All 3 had their rears in the air working away at the feeder. I think these are going to be some pretty robust chickies!
Yes, I have old english in the brown/red and blue/red colors. Very nice birds, I just love them. I also have black rosecombs, and then, I have wheaton americanas, also silvers, and copper marans. I have some mixed hens and leghorns in my hen house that I sell eggs from.
idn't help you had 2 extra's that you found on your way home. That was soooooo funny when you called me back about your find. Told Mary not to say anything, you should have seen the look on her face, it was hard to not crack up!
