Consolidated Kansas

TntBlake, here is the processing people in Derby--- "Parsons" 215 West Market Street | Derby, KS 67037 | Phone: 316-788-3304 | [email protected]
I know they do deer, but I don't know if they do chickens. I'd call and ask them, and if they don't then ask them who does! They are small and local and if they don't I bet they will know of someone else who does!

There is another one out in Andover, I think, but I can't think of their name! They are another really small processing company. I'll bet Parson's will know who they are and if they do chickens.

I just called them and he sasid he does not do chickens and doesn't know anyone who does. Thank you for taking the time to try to help me. I really appreciate it. I have called all kinds of meat places and searched online and the only ones I can find are the ones in Garnett and Bronson.

No. I haven't found anything in Andover but I'm still looking. Stroots said they don't know of anyone either.

Okay-- you've probably already tried all of these, but I'll list them on the off chance you haven't.

1. Indian Hills Meat and Poultry
PO Box 145, Wichita, KS 67201 (316) 943-8381

2. Marks Meats
135 Main St, Halstead, KS 67056 (800) 292-2176

3.Sig's Gourmet Butcher Shop
300 S Baltimore Ave, Derby, KS 67037 » Map
(316) 788-9494

****Sig's might be a long shot-- BUT they do process their own meat and will often give me cuts off of the large animal in the back when I ask for something diff.

4. Whitewater Frozen Food Locker
114 W Topeka St, Whitewater, KS 67154 » Map
(316) 799-2100

****I've never heard of them, but Whitewater really isn't too far away- probably about 30 mins outside of north Wichita. I've been up there a few times, because the guy who built my welded horse stalls is there, and he made my horse feeders, too. It wasn't too bad of a drive.

It says there is a Peabody Locker, too- but that is about a 40 min drive out there. They are a really cute small town, we go up there every year for their annual festival.

I still can't find the one in Andover! Hmmm..... They are kind of out in the sticks. I saw them when I would trailer my horses out to an arena out that way. I just remember it's a metal building. Maybe they aren't there anymore. I'm sure there are several more- but these little places don't do a ton of advertising. But surely they know about each other and can tell you if they know of someone else. It's so odd that Parson's in Derby didn't know about anyone else. When you're in that business, it's hard not to know who everyone else is.

It made it up to 55 right now... so it's warmer, but it is insanely windy. Going to head out in a bit. I'm trying to mentally motivate myself.

Hey guys. I have a stupid question. Do any of you all go on vacation?? My parents are flying my husband out to their home (in CA) the week after christmas and this was all planned before my girls came along. I have no idea what to do with them.
