Ivy, I'd be a little reluctant to do that if I were you. If your doctor did not release you to go back to work and you do, If you would injure your foot or your knee work comp would be denied. Just sayin'. If he needs your help then he needs to make safe provisions for you to do the work.
I know what you mean by personnel problems. I was a lead at my last job. I could tell people what to do etc and I was responsible for the work that was done but I had no authority to discipline, hire, or fire anyone. It was a very uncomfortable situation. I could make recommendations to that end, but of course rarely did my recommendations effect anything that happened.
It is nice for a boss to have confidence in you though. My last boss was awesome that way. I felt I left a friend when I retired.
I'll PM Bama and see what we can work out after bit.
On the eggs for babies I normally wisk the egg white and yolk up into a froth and stick them in the microwave for just long enough to start hardening then mash them up some more. They remain pretty moist that way and the babies love eating them. Of course that is just to get stubborn babies to eat. I've never done it with a syringe for those that can't eat.
Hawkeye I had to laugh at your post. That so sounds like something I would do. It seems I spend half my day saying "Whoops!" cause I've run something into something or failed to notice something in my way. I tell DH that I really need him just to fix the things I break. Looks like I have to get a new engine for my ZTR mower. More money to shell out!

My mower is 5 years old, but I use it a lot and it doesn't get the maintenance it really needs. If it were up to me, I'd have it done each spring without fail. There is a company that comes to your house for like $110 and they will change your belts, filters, and sharpen your blades for that amount! I think it's totally worth it. But I talk myself blue in the face each spring begging my DH to let me spend that money for that guy to come out. My Dh says he can do it himself for less. I'm sure he can.... but WHEN!?!? UGH. When I go back to work, things are going to better maintained around here. (now if we can stop myself from running them into the barn, I'll be okay)
